The Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Standard 50 User CAL Pack licenses fifty named users to connect to your SQL Server 2022 Standard instances. SQL Server 2022 is the most Azure-connected, performant, and secure release in the platform's history. User CALs assign access to named individuals who can connect from any number of devices. With the rise of hybrid work, User CALs are increasingly the default choice — your team members access databases from office desktops, home laptops, and mobile devices, all covered by a single per-person license. SQL Server 2022 introduces ledger tables — immutable, append-only tables that provide cryptographic proof that data has not been tampered with. Built on blockchain-inspired hash chaining, ledger tables are invaluable for regulatory compliance and financial auditing. Parameter Sensitive Plan Optimization (PSP) solves one of the most persistent performance problems in SQL Server history. Instead of caching a single plan per query, PSP creates multiple plans optimized for different parameter distributions. The Query Store includes query store hints for direct optimizer guidance. DOP feedback automatically adjusts parallel query execution. CE feedback corrects model assumptions in real-time. Azure integration enables managed disaster recovery, Azure AD authentication, and Microsoft Purview integration. Contained Availability Groups simplify AlwaysOn deployments.
